PROTECTION FROM LEAD PAINT EXPOSURE
The National Occupational Health and Safety Commission classed the preparing of surfaces containing lead paint as ‘high risk’. Painters painting older buildings are at high risk of exposure to lead paint as almost all buildings built before 1971 contain lead paint.
Employers should take all necessary precautions to protect their employees and the public from lead paint hazards.
